MIAS 2018: Subaru Just Dropped the Price of the Outback for this Weekend

Looking for a brand-new executive car? You should consider the 2018 Subaru Outback. No Seriously. Launched at MIAS, it’s just been updated with a new face and more swanky features including Subaru’s EyeSight driver assist technology. And if it’s not enough to entice you, there’s a big, we mean hefty, discount only during MIAS’s duration.

Before we get to the MIAS exclusive offer, here’s what you get with the 2018 Outback:
  • Revised styling
  • Retuned Electronic Power Steering system
  • STABLEX-Ride dampers (better low-speed ride, better high-speed stability)
  • Short-pitch chain for CVT for improved quietness
  • Thicker, sound-insulating windshield and front windows
  • Starlink infotainment with 8-inch display
  • Apple CarPlay
  • Front-view, side-view, and rear camera
Man, that’s a lot of stuff.

And while some people lament the loss of the entry-level Outback 2.5i-S (its been relegated to an indent order basis), the 2018 Outback 3.6R-S does have a 3.6-liter Flat-6 that should easily entice you back. It makes an even 260 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque.

Oh, and didn’t we mention that it’s got the Subaru EyeSight driver assist system as standard starting this year?

Now, let’s talk value for money.

Among the three EyeSight models launched at MIAS, only the Outback 3.6R-S retained its price: P 2,408,000. And, if you order within MIAS weekend, you get a whopping P 200,000 (yes, two hundred thousand pesos) discount. Applicable only to cash buyers (sorry financing dudes), that brings the 2018 Outback 3.6R-S’s pricing to just P 2,208,000 or just a P 30,000 difference versus the 2.5i-S.

Stocks are limited so we suggest you hurry over to MIAS. Like right now.

  1. It doesn't have a camera under the left mirror, does it make it a 270degree view?

    1. Okay. We've confirmed this and it can't show a 360-degree bird's eye view. What it can show is the front, side (passenger's side), and rear. It cannot stitch the images together. Corrected the article to reflect that.
