Mitsubishi Motors PH Brings In Xpander Black Series (w/ Specs)

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines is bringing in a limited number of its Xpander Black Series. Shown on their official website, this variant of the country’s best-selling MPV is perfect for those who don’t like chrome.

The Xpander Black Series gets an exclusive exterior treatment highlighted by the deletion of chrome in favor of high-gloss black elements. This is found in the Dynamic Shield fascia (including the grille), rear bumper garnish, side mirrors, and 16-inch alloy wheels.

Naturally, it comes in Jet Black Mica, but for those who prefer a two-tone look, it’s also available in Quartz White Pearl.

The Xpander Black Series is based on the GLS variant and with that comes with features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 6 speakers and offline GPS navigation, and a leather steering wheel with chrome and gloss black accents.

Mechanically, it remains powered by a 1.5-liter (4A91) 4-cylinder engine with 104 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. The sole transmission is a 4-speed automatic with cruise control.

In terms of safety, the Xpander Black Series, like the GLS, comes with dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, and an emergency stop signal (ESS).

“The new Xpander Black Series is developed to rejuvenate excitement towards our number one selling MPV. The Xpander remains to be a very important product in our vehicle line up and we at MMPC are geared to consistently enhance its offerings to cater to the various demands of the market. With the black series, the Xpander presents a more sophisticated look,” said Takeshi Hara, President and CEO of MMPC.

As for the price, the Xpander Black Series costs P 1,138,000—a P 10,000 premium over the regular Xpander GLS.
