Chevrolet PH Spreads Cheer With 10,000 Meals For Marginalized Communities

Chevrolet Philippines, The Covenant Car Company, Inc (TCCCI), in partnership with McDonald’s Philippines, through the Ronald McDonald House Charities Philippines (RMHC), kicks off the season of giving with a special program aimed at providing sustenance, warmth, and holiday cheer to various communities around the country.

“Chevy Cheers” is a collaboration between Chevrolet Philippines and the McDonald’s Kindness Kitchen (MKK), that aims to serve 10,000 meals to marginalized communities in selected areas in the Philippines. This effort, also in conjunction with Pilipinas Kontra Gutom (PKG)—a multi-sectoral movement aimed at eliminating hunger and malnutrition by the year 2030—is activated with the intention of contributing to the continuous effort of ensuring food security and improving nutrition among Filipino families.

In cooperation with MKK, Chevy Cheers will activate food donation drives in key areas around the Philippines, spearheaded by assigned Chevrolet Philippines dealerships in each location. The actual delivery of meals to the said communities will be conducted by the same assigned Chevrolet Philippines dealerships.

“We at Chevrolet Philippines, through Chevy Cheers, are truly honored to be collaborating with the McDonald’s Kindness Kitchen and Pilipinas Kontra Gutom this holiday season, and are grateful for the opportunity to give back and spread holiday cheer in the form of hearty meals that can be enjoyed by the entire family,” says Atty. Alberto B. Arcilla, President and CEO of Chevrolet Philippines.

Chevy Cheers is a nationwide initiative that will run from December 6-10, 2021 and will roll out in NCR and other regional locations. In NCR, identified beneficiary communities include Baseco, Baclaran, Smokey Mountain, Quiapo, Tayuman, Tatalon, Payatas, Bagong Silan, Camarin, Caloocan, and Navotas. Outside of NCR, locations where Chevy Cheers will be present include specific areas within Pampanga, Iloilo, Cebu, and Davao.
