Toyota Motor PH Reveals July Launch for 2021 GR Yaris And These 16 Dealerships Are Now Accepting Reservations

We’ve tackled this before, but Toyota Motor Philippines has confirmed what we knew all along: the 2021 Toyota GR Yaris will only be sold at 16 dealerships, and it will be available in limited numbers.

The P 2.65-million GR Yaris will be sold exclusively through the 16 GR Performance dealerships (this list has been updated from when we first reported the dealer list):
  • Toyota Alabang
  • Toyota Commonwealth
  • Toyota Global City
  • Toyota Makati
  • Toyota Manila Bay
  • Toyota Otis
  • Toyota Quezon Avenue
  • Toyota Bacoor
  • Toyota Batangas
  • Toyota Calamba
  • Toyota La Union
  • Toyota San Fernando
  • Toyota San Pablo
  • Toyota Cebu
  • Toyota Mabolo
  • Toyota Davao
These GR Performance certified dealerships are now accepting reservations for the GR Yaris. A ten percent deposit based on SRP is required to secure a slot. This means you’ll have to park P 265,000 to secure a slot.

Toyota Motor Philippines also revealed a July launch date for their road-homologated rally car, and said it will be available only in “limited numbers.” This is short of confirming the rumored 150 units coming to the country in the next two years.

The 2021 GR Yaris will also pack a maximum 261 PS (257 horsepower) output from its 1.6-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged engine. For those keeping score, it’s the same as global models, but lower than the Japan Domestic Market’s 272-horsepower output. Japan gets more horsepower due to their higher standard octane rating. Torque outputs are also slightly lower for international markets: 360 Nm to 370 Nm.

With all this information now available, the only question left would be the actual specs. Toyota Motor Philippines still hasn’t revealed whether the GR Yaris coming to the Philippines will sport the optional Circuit Pack. If it does, it’ll get forged 18-inch BBS alloy wheels along with a re-tuned suspension and Torsen limit-slip differentials for the front and rear axles.
