Jetour Auto PH To Bring In 326-Horsepower Dashing PHEV

Jetour Auto Philippines, Inc. released their corporate report card after marking their first 100 days of operations in the country.

Miguelito Jose, Managing Director of Jetour Auto Philippines says they have sold more than 500 vehicles despite only starting retail sales in April; an average of 100 units monthly. Their four-vehicle line-up—the Jetour X70, X70 Plus, Dashing, and Ice Cream EV—has been well-received by the Philippine car buying public, and they’re confident of achieving their 1,000-unit sales target by the end of 2023. In five years, that number will be 50,000 units cumulatively.

To help them achieve these goals, Jose says they are moving to the e-commerce space. Aside from its brick and mortar 16 inaugural dealerships, Jetour Auto Philippines will reach their customers directly via their own Lazada LazMall store and through the BPI Marketplace.

In terms of products, Jose has confirmed that they are poised to bring in four additional Jetour vehicles by the end of the year headlined by the Jetour X90 and the Jetour Dashing PHEV.

Sitting atop the Jetour range, the Jetour X90 is their three-row flagship SUV. Measuring in at 4,850 mm in length, 1,925 mm in width, and 1,780 mm in height, its “super wheelbase” of 2,850 mm translates to a spacious interior. With the third-row seats folded, its cargo hold can swallow up to 1,130 liters. No details were given regarding powertrain, but globally, the X90 shares its basic powertrain with the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro. Its 1.6-liter turbocharged engine makes 196 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 290 Nm of torque from 2,000 to 4,000 rpm. A 7-speed wet-type dual clutch sends power to the front wheels.

The bigger news, however, is the confirmation that they’ll be bringing in more electrified offerings aside from their all-electric Ice Cream EV. This is in the form of their first plug-in hybrid (PHEV): the Dashing PHEV (Dashing i-DM in China). Mating a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine with a powerful electric motor, it makes a total of 326 horsepower and 545 Nm of torque. With a 19.27-kWh battery, it has 80 kilometers of pure electric range (total cruising range of 1,000 kilometers or 58.82 km/L).

These two models will be joined by the X50 crossover and the Jetour T2 rugged SUV.

Aside from Team Kramer, who’s serving as Jetour’s brand ambassadors, they will also be tapping radio journalist Anthony Taberna as a “Key Opinion Leader.” This is on top of other projects including a partnership with Biyaheng South—a collaboration between Metro Pacific Tollways and the Department of Tourism CALABARZON to promote tourist destinations located south of the National Capital Region.

  3. Jetour Auto Philippines priced its vehicles on a very steep side and some of them got incomplete features ala Changan and MG Philippines are doing.
GWM Philippines got much better pricing and lineup TBH.
