The Omoda 5 Has Sold Over 70,000 Units In H1 2023

The Omoda 5 has achieved a significant milestone: it has managed to sell over 70,000 units for the first half of 2023.

Now sold in 12 markets around the world, the youth-oriented, tech-savvy compact SUV has now reached cumulative export sales of 70,821 units. Furthermore, last June, it was the third most exported model from China.

The sales milestone comes as the Omoda 5 managed to bag a 5-star safety rating at the Australasian New Car Assessment Program or ANCAP. The compact SUV, which is also sold down under, passed the rigorous safety evaluation with flying colors. This is the second 5-star safety rating for the Omoda 5 which also achieved a 5-star Euro NCAP rating.

For its ANCAP performance, the Omoda 5 scored 87 percent in Adult Occupancy Protection, 88 percent in Child Occupant Protection, 68 percent in Vulnerable Road User Protection, and 83 percent in Safety Assist Technology.

The 5-star ANCAP safety rating is a confirmation of Omoda’s commitment to excellence in automotive safety, ensuring the utmost protection for its customers and other road users.

The Omoda 5 is designed to meet the key demands of global consumers from the R&D and design stage. It has not only made great advancements in body structure, safety configuration, and other aspects but also carried out adaptive development verification in different environments and road conditions around the world.

The Omoda 5 1.5-liter Turbo will be launched by the end of 2023.
