Do You Like The All-New 2027 Hyundai Tucson?

After the Elantra/Avante, the Tucson is the next Hyundai model to get the brand’s newest “Art of Steel” design.

The all-new Tucson is a big departure from the current model thanks to its bold, angular styling and striking light pattern that dominate the front and rear ends.

In terms of design, the 2027 Tucson measures in at 4,700 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,685 mm in height. It rides on a 2,785 mm wheelbase. Compared to the current model, it’s 60 mm longer overall with a 30 mm longer wheelbase. It’s also wider by 40 mm.

As a result, Hyundai claims that the all-new Tucson has class-leading space. Its second-row headroom, for example, has been boosted by 29 mm while the door opens now to 83 degrees compared to 73 degrees in the current model.

The interior design has been extensively overhauled with a large touchscreen dominating everything. A slim-type instrument cluster is also found behind the top part of the D-shaped steering wheel. The placement suggests that it will double as a heads-up display. The center display, measuring either 12.9 or 14.6 inches, runs on Hyundai’s newest Pleos infotainment software.

New features for the Tucson include a card holder by the driver’s air vent. The migration of the shifter to the steering column has also helped free up space for two wireless device chargers.

A more rugged variant, the XRT, was also shown off. This version has a different grille design and a wider skid plate as well as contrasting black wheel arches with a carbon fiber motif. Specific alloy wheels and rear bumper complete the changes outside. Inside, it features a more rugged seat material and waterproof floormats.

For now, Hyundai has yet to reveal what powers the all-new Tucson, but it’s a safe bet that they’ll continue offering a 2.0-liter normally aspirated 4-cylinder as the base engine, with other options potentially including a 1.6-liter turbo hybrid and potentially a plug-in hybrid variant as well.
