Lexus Philippines has officially launched the all-new, eighth-generation ES. Representing a fresh new chapter for Lexus, it combines the brand’s vision of effortless performance, timeless design, and meticulous craftsmanship with electrified performance, intuitive technology, and elevated comfort.
The all-new Lexus ES introduces the brand’s latest design language. The “Clean Tech x Elegance” design concept pairs refinement with a simple, clean aesthetic. The fastback-inspired silhouette and reinterpreted spindle front design create a contemporary look.
The hybrid variants ride on 19-inch Aero alloy wheels, while the range-topping BEV variant comes with 21-inch Luxury alloy wheels.
The Lexus ES is larger than the previous model. Measuring 5,140 mm in length (+165 mm), 1,920 mm (+55 mm) in width, and 1,555 mm in height for the hybrid models (1,560 mm for the battery electric variant), the all-new Lexus ES rides on a 2,950 mm (+80 mm) wheelbase, creating a spacious cabin while contributing to greater ride stability and refinement.
Seven colors are on offer: Sonic Copper, Sonic Titanium, Sonic Chrome, Sonic Iridium, White Nova Glass Flake, Graphite Black Glass Flake, and the signature color, Sou.
The Lexus ES comes exclusively in front wheel drive. The hybrid comes with an electrified 2.5-liter 4-cylinder producing 247 horsepower, while the battery electric variant offers 224 horsepower. A 74.69-kWh lithium-ion battery offers 493 kilometers of WLTP range. The BEV supports both Type 2 AC and CCS2 DC fast charging.
Handling has been improved thanks to a new rear suspension and further refinements to its body and structure to sharpen its steering and responses. The BEV variant also has Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS).
Inside, the Lexus ES elevates the brand’s Tazuna cockpit design philosophy. The driver-centric nature intuitively places switchgear within easy reach of the driver. The Hidden Tech switches reduce visual clutter since they’re not visible when the car’s turned off. When the car’s switched on, they light up and are revealed. The ES also receives the Arene operating system for its infotainment.
Across the line-up, the Lexus ES receives a 14-inch touchscreen display as well as a panoramic sunroof. The entry-level ES 350h Executive has synthetic leather upholstery and a 10-speaker system, while the ES 350h has perforated synthetic leather and a 17-speaker Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound System. The ES 350e elevates this further with illuminated bamboo-styled door panels.
Every Lexus ES comes with Lexus Safety System+ 4, the brand's latest suite of advanced driver assistance technologies designed to support the driver across a wide range of everyday driving situations. For delicate parking situations, the ES 350h Executive is equipped with a Back Guide Monitor, while the ES 350h Luxury and ES 350e feature a Panoramic View Monitor.
Retail sales of the all-new Lexus ES starts by the third week of August with the following prices:
- ES 350h Executive – P 4,108,000
- ES 350h Luxury – P 4,308,000
- ES 350e BEV – P 5,688,000
