Ford Philippines aims to solidify its lead as the country’s best-selling hybrid SUV with the launch of the new Territory Hybrid Platinum. The new variant sits atop the Titanium X bringing with it an elevated sense of style, added safety, and first-in-class luxury features.

Leveraging on its popularity and appeal to Filipino customers, we are introducing the Territory Hybrid Platinum,” says Byron Daquil, director, Retail Product Marketing and Business Growth, Ford Philippines. “With the Territory Hybrid Platinum, we are bringing a new level of driving sophistication for customers seeking the space, comfort and safety of a family SUV combined with the refinement of a luxury vehicle.”
The Territory Hybrid Platinum comes upholstered with quilted leather seats. The front row features stitched “Platinum” branding as well as a ventilation function. Illuminated Platinum scruff plates complete the visible interior changes.
The Platinum variant also offers a first-in-class Digital Scent feature which allows drivers to create a ambient “scentscape.”
The Digital Scent is a built-in, alcohol-free system integrated into the center console, releasing fragrance gradually in the cabin ensuring a smooth and consistent scent that can be adjusted for intensity via the 12-inch touchscreen. Drivers can choose from six total scent profiles designed to enhance different moods. Each Territory Hybrid Platinum comes with three pre-installed scents: Whispers of Dawn, Velvet Ember, and Verdant Rush, with three additional scents – Amber Veil, Azure Oud, and Soul Velocity –available from a Ford dealership.
The Territory Hybrid Platinum also has an enhanced sound system featuring 10 speakers with a dedicated center speaker and subwoofer. The Arkamys system comes hand-in-hand with a 9-band equalizer and 320-watt amplifier. A sophisticated 3D audio algorithm also recreates immersive 5.1 surround sound.
The Territory Hybrid Platinum builds on the Titanium X’s long list of standard equipment that includes a two-panel sunroof, a PM2.5 smart filtration system, power tailgate with hands-free operation, and LED lighting cleverly hidden in the door sill plates.
The suite of advanced driver-assist technologies (ADAS) is further enhanced with Traffic Jam Assist (TJA) and Integrated Cruise Assist (ICA). When Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is active and the vehicle slows below 60 km/h in congested traffic, TJA automatically engages. The system helps manage speed and keep the vehicle centered in its lane, reducing the need for continuous driver inputs and allowing the driver to focus on the surrounding traffic. When lane markings are clearly visible, TJA helps maintain the vehicle in the center of the lane. If a lane marking is detected on only one side, the system uses it to determine the vehicle’s intended path. If neither lane marking can be clearly identified, TJA switches to Follow Mode and adjusts the vehicle’s direction based on the path of the vehicle ahead.
As the vehicle leaves stop-and-go conditions behind and accelerates above 60 km/h, ACC seamlessly takes over from TJA. Working together with ACC, ICA helps manage acceleration and braking while making continuous small steering adjustments to keep the Territory centered in its lane, making longer journeys more comfortable. If lane markings become unclear or disappear, the system alerts the driver to resume control before disengaging, ensuring a seamless return to full driver control.
Distinguishing the Territory Hybrid Platinum is a two-tone front bumper design, a blacked-out roof design, gloss black sideview mirrors, and the Platinum lettering on the hood and tailgate. New 19-inch alloy wheels fill each corner.

Like the rest of the Territory Hybrid family, the Platinum variant comes with a 1.5-liter dedicated hybrid engine with a 2-speed dedicated hybrid transmission and 1.83-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The whole hybrid powertrain produces a combined total of 218 horsepower and maximum torque of 315 Nm. All in all, it’s capable of reaching 19.6 km/L or up to 1,000 kilometers of driving range on a full tank of gas.
The Territory Hybrid Platinum comes with a P 1,655,000 introductory price inclusive of a 5-year warranty and free 2-year scheduled service plan. It comes in three colors: Moonbay Blue, Lustrous Grey, and Crystal Pearl White.

Go for either HEV or BEV if you’re going electric, regardless of brand. PHEVs are just bastardized BEVs with gas generators. PHEVs are the least reliable among all the electrified options.

ReplyDeleteMoving on, let's say P1.605M net of a P50K discount. Aside from the usual alternatives SL6, Rev LE, & EX5 EM-i to name a few at the same or lower price one can get an Haval H7 Hi4 AWD PHEV for P1.65M (less cash P50K discount).
Unless one has severely limited access to a home wall charger deciding on which to get is a simple no-brainer.
