A limited-edition Mini has launched in the Philippines and it was spoken for even before its arrival. Thankfully, before the one and only allocation of the Mini 1965 Victory Edition ended up with its owner, a local photoshoot was done to show off the unique Mini.
Based on the Mini John Cooper Works, the Mini 1965 Victory Edition celebrates the brand’s historic win at the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally. At the time, the Mini Cooper S, driven by Timo Mäkinen and co-driver Paul Easter took victory at the principality.
“Winning in Monte Carlo in 1965 wasn’t just a victory, it was also a milestone that shaped Mini’s identity,” said Willy Tee Ten, President of Mini Philippines. “The Mini 1965 Victory Edition brings together the heart and soul of that moment with a modern drive packed with loads of fun. It’s a powerful reminder of the passion that defines Mini and every detail points to the courage and craftsmanship that make the brand truly unique.”
In homage to the legendary motorsports colors of the 1960s, the Mini 1965 Victory Edition features a Chili Red exterior paintwork accentuated by a white trim stripe extending from the hood to the roof and rear. Exclusive to this edition, a white “52” graphic adorns both sides—a reference to the number of the winning Mini in 1965.
The Glazed White roof is offered with a panoramic roof, while a subtle “1965” sticker on the C-pillar catches the eye. At each corner are 18-inch John Cooper Works Lap Spoke wheels with floating center caps and JCW tire valve caps.
The Mini 1965 Victory Edition also has door sills with white “1965” writing on a red and black background. A dedication, found on the inside of the door reflects information about the historic Mini win.
Inside, the interior itself is based on the John Cooper Works down to the trim and color palette which is anthracite and red. However, there are specific details such as the 6 o’clock spoke of the steering wheel and storage box featuring the “1965” lettering. The racing number of the victorious Mini Cooper S from 1965 also adorns the key fob.
Priced at P 4,649,000, the Mini 1965 Victory Edition is powered by a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder producing 231 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. Together with its 7-speed steptronic gearbox, it goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds.
Mini Philippines has confirmed that three more special editions are set to drop in the country before the end of 2026.

So this is the gas edition and it's made in UK. There's also an EV edition but made in China if I'm not mistaken.
ReplyDeleteYup. The Mini EV is made by Great Wall in China, but for this limited-edition model, the single unit brought in was the gas variant.
