Here's Something Volkswagen Philippines Should Consider Bringing In
I’m not a part of Volkswagen’s product planning team, but if I were, I’d considering bringing in this: the Viloran MPV. It’s a full-blown luxury MPV built to battle the likes of Toyota Alphard and Kia Grand Carnival. Best of all, seeing it on our roads is really, really possible because it’s actually a joint development with SAIC—you know, the source of our Santana, Lavida, and Lamando cars.

Review: 2019 Volkswagen Lamando 280 TSI SEL
Some say, Volkswagen isn’t trying hard enough with its Matryoshka doll styling. From Santana to Lamando, they’re basically the same shape, enlarged or reduced depending on the requirement of the segment it finds itself in. That said, there’s also something oddly pleasing at seeing what’s essentially the same looking car in small, medium, and large sizes.

How Volkswagen Managed to Stay On Top in the World's Most Competitive Car Market
“China is the most competitive automotive market in the world,” declares Immo Buschmann, Senior Director for Sales at SAIC Volkswagen. At 27.5 percent or 22.784 million vehicles sold, it’s currently the biggest car market in the world—bigger than the USA (17.284 million) and Japan (4.891 million) combined. Yet, less than four decades ago, it was dismissed by everyone.

We Think We Know the 2 SUVs Volkswagen Philippines is Bringing In This Year
Ayala, it seems, likes to play guessing games. Earlier this year, it was all about guessing which three (well, now four) vehicles that Kia’s unboxing in 2019. Then, there’s the daily routine of figuring out the best time to flush the toilet and do the laundry (thanks Manila Water). And now, the game has extended to which two Volkswagen SUVs they’re bringing in.

Just How Many Santanas Did Volkswagen Philippines Sell in 2018?
When Volkswagen Philippines shifted over to its five new nameplates: Santana, Lavida, Lamando, and Tiguan, most of the attention is focused on the Santana.
