Volkswagen Philippines Opens Order Books for Santana AT, Santana GTS, and Lamando

Volkswagen Philippines is opening the order book for three new models: the Santana AT, Santana GTS AT, and Lamando all of which are slated for customer release by November of this year.

The Santana AT, available in the Trendline and Comfortline models represent the mid- and top-tier variants of Volkswagen’s new sub-compact sedan. Priced at P 898,000 and P 962,000 respectively, both of these variants are powered by a 1.5-liter MPI engine. Making 110 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 150 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, they’re mated to a conventional 6-speed automatic transmission.

Available colors are: Deep Black, Polar White, and Reflex Silver.

Also, an additional member of the Santana family is the new Santana GTS. Also powered by a 1.5-liter MPI engine mated to a 6-speed automatic, this hatchback bodied model comes with features such as cruise control, sunroof, rear parking sensors, and even electronic stability program or ESP. Price is capped at P 998,000 for the solitary Comfortline variant.

The palette of colors for the Santana GTS is brighter with Polar White, Toffee Brown, and Red Rock Metallic.

Finally, the Lamando executive sedan is also available for reservations. With a 280 TSI designation, it’s powered by a 1.4-liter TSI gasoline engine making 150 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 250 Nm of torque from 1,750 to 3,000 rpm, it’s available in the Comfortline and Highline variants. The sole transmission option is a 7-speed direct shift gearbox. Features include smart keyless entry, adaptive cruise control, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Price for the Comfortline is at P 1,569,000 while the Highline goes up to P 1,703,000.

Color availability for the Lamando is dependent on the variant with Mangan Grey, Polar White available for both variants while Coriandolo and Dark Bronze are exclusive to the Comfortline and Misano Red exclusive to the Highline.

And just like the first three models launched in May, these three new ones will have comprehensive warranty coverage and low cost of ownership.

Aside from the three years or 100,000-km general warranty, whichever comes first, Volkswagen Philippines also offers a 3-year warranty for paint and another 3-year warranty for through-corrosion of the main steel body structure.

The periodic maintenance service (PMS) interval schedule for these new models is also structured for its owners’ convenience. The PMS interval is once a year, or every 10,000 kms, whichever comes first.

Volkswagen says that the special introductory prices of the Santana AT, the Santana GTS, and the Lamando are all in line with the celebration of 5th anniversary of Volkswagen Philippines as a member of the Ayala Group of companies this September.

  1. VW is now mad in their pricing of Santana Trendline AT srp of P898k, while Santana Trendline MT is only P686K a huge P212K difference...considering that Santana is from China while VW Polo Trendline AT(1.6MPi engine) from India still offers much cheaper at P800-840k but this unit were already phase-out.

  2. I think the pricing of the Santana will push buyers to get the City instead. Proven platform and solid dealer network and aftermarket parts availability.
