Confirmed: The Suzuki Vitara AllGrip Will Start At P 1.458M And Will Be Sourced From Europe

A day ago, we reported that the all-wheel drive variant of the Suzuki Vitara, the Vitara AllGrip Select would be priced starting at P 1.458 million. That number has now been confirmed by Suzuki Philippines a couple of days before its official public unveil set for Friday, June 28.

AllGrip, Suzuki says, is an update to a key technology the company first launched in 1988. For the 2021 Suzuki Vitara AllGrip, it uses the AllGrip Select with four driver-switchable driving modes: Auto, Sport, Snow, and Lock. Ground clearance is at a commendable 185 mm.

Suzuki Philippines has also confirmed that the Vitara AllGrip will remain powered by the 1.6-liter M16A engine. Also shared with the 2WD variant of the Vitara, it makes 115 horsepower and 156 Nm of torque. This is then mated to a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifter, cruise control, and speed limiter.

Exterior-wise, the Vitara AllGrip is differentiated from its 2WD sibling with its front and rear skid plates, chrome accents on the door handles and side molding, and a high-gloss black rear spoiler. It also enjoys LED headlights (low beam) with daytime running lights.

Inside, 10-inch infotainment system now includes a clinometer. It also adds more convenience features in the form of rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, and automatic dimming rearview mirrors.

In terms of safety, it comes with 6 SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control with integrated hill start assist, and rear parking sensors.

Surprisingly, Suzuki Philippines will continue to source the Vitara AllGrip from Hungary. It will come in Galactic Gray Metallic and Cool White Pearl for the monotone, and Solid Bright Red with Cosmic Black Pearl Metallic and Prime Solar Yellow with Cosmic Black Pearl Metallic for the two-tone. Prices are set at P 1.458 million for the monotone and P 1.468 million for the two-tone version.

The 2021 Suzuki Vitara AllGrip is now available at all authorized Suzuki dealerships nationwide.

Meanwhile, catch the official launch of the Vitara AllGrip on Friday, May 28 on the Suzuki Philippines Facebook page.

  1. Morethan a year ago, Suzuki Phil announced they will stop importing The Vitara because it couldn't compete with the Chinese Carmakers Subcompact Crossover like the Fully Loaded MG ZS, Geely CoolRay and the Ford Ecosport. Now unfortunately with the Pandemics still banging on our head, Suzuki is bringing the Most expensive Vitara 4x4. What the management heck they are into. Definitely I don't expect a single unit run in busiest EDSA road.

  2. they should still make the cheaper FWD-only GLX available for those not needing AWD.

    1. AFAIK, the GLX 2WD AT is still around for the same 1.158M price.

  4. This one had left me scratching, thinking what's inside the heads of Suzuki execs in releasing of Vitara AWD. Priced at nearly the same area of Geely Azkarra and Corolla Cross Gas variant. Also, just a thousand closer to Subaru XV and Corolla Cross Hybrid. With that Suzuki price, at least they should have put full suite of Suzuki Safety Support.

Now looks like Coolray and T-Cross has the more practical and more features for the price (even though it's non-AWD.)
