Subaru Shows Off Its Upcoming SUV's High-Tech Interior

It looks like Subaru is keen to put their conservatively-designed (aka bland) interiors behind them. Fittingly, the Japanese carmaker is doing it first on their upcoming all-electric vehicle, the Solterra.

Slated for a global debut in 2022 (as a MY2023 model), the Solterra will offer a tech-laden cabin with “ample back-seat and cargo room.” This, of course, is thanks to a bespoke EV platform dubbed the e-Subaru Global Platform which is shared with the upcoming Toyota bZ4X.

Aside from an all-electric powertrain, the Solterra will have “plenty of ground clearance” and thus keeps the Subaru SUV DNA intact. This means, of course, the Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive will enter the fully-electrified era.

With 96 percent of all Subaru vehicles still on the road today, the Solterra joins a family of safe and long-lasting vehicles.
