All-New 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer Arrives In PH With P 1.488M Starting Price (w/ Specs)

The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), the exclusive distributor of Chevrolet in the Philippines continues with its product-led revitalization with the launch of the all-new 2022 Trailblazer.

Manufactured and sourced from General Motors’ Incheon plant in South Korea, the all-new Trailblazer features a Camaro-inspired front fascia. The signature dual-port grille is joined by available LED head- and fog lamps. It also has an available hands-free power tailgate, LED taillights, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Eight exterior colors are available: Summit White, Black Meet Kettle Metallic, Crimson Metallic, Blue Glow Metallic, Vivid Metallic, Mahogany Red Metallic, Abalone White Tri-coat, and Satin Steel Gray Metallic.

Under the hood lies GM’s next-generation 1.3-liter turbocharged 3-cyliner engine. Delivering 155 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 236 Nm of torque from 1,600 to 4,000 rpm, it has a variable displacement oil pump, electric water pump, and idle start/stop for improved fuel efficiency. Power is then routed to the front wheels via a Hydramatic VT40 CVT with 6 virtual gears and cruise control.

Inside, the 2022 Trailblazer has a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel, jet-black leather interior with white contrast stitching, an 8-inch MyLink infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In the safety front, it has three-point seatbelts for all passengers, six SRS airbags, a 4-eye rear sensor with reverse camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system. It also has ABS with EBD, stability control, forward collision alert, following distance indicator, automatic emergency braking, lane change alert with side blind spot zone alert, and lane keep assist.

“We are proud to introduce the all-new 2022 Chevy Trailblazer to the Philippine market,” says Atty. Albert B. Arcilla, President and Chief Executive Officer of Chevrolet Philippines - TCCCI. “The Trailblazer is a continuation of the new design language for Chevy’s crossover family and extends our momentum into one of the industry’s fastest-growing segments. It continues the SUV heritage of the revered nameplate and is now loaded with safety and convenience features that anticipate the needs of today’s most discerning customers,” Arcilla adds.

The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer is available in two variants, the LT (P 1,488,888) and the Premier (P 1,621,888). Both come with a five-year vehicle warranty and three years of free roadside assistance.

  1. This will bomb, sub-compact American brand for the price of a compact SUV? If it was the active or RS versions them maybe premium buyers will consider this.

    1. Sir, you just prove that Toyota vehicles in general are more reliable than Chevrolet vehicles. And I am saying this as a former Chevy vehicle owner and one that still loves the Chevrolet brand :(

    2. Agree. Bought my Chevy TB in 2016 (2.7 duramax) and just after 2 years alternator broke down. So far I have replaced said part thrice already. Worse thing about this is its AC unit parts-compressor, evaporator, condenser, all of which I have also replaced twice/thrice already. Same thing with the power windows and power door. This car has a mysterious water leak also in the front passenger's footwell area which the "casa" is clueless about. I guess pretty much everything about this car is problematic. And the worst part seems to be the after sales service of the dealer who would always find the flimsiest reasons to avoid honoring the warranty. Posting this so that consumers will know.

    3. @unknown 1:12, sounds just like my Isuzu 2005 DMax which breaks down one after the other, alternator, power windows, locks, belt pulley, get this gas cover lock, really? That plastic switch knob broke can you believe that. Everybody said Isuzu engine is durable. They're right, but everything else is cr@p. Never gonna buy an Isuzu ever again. Going back to Chevy, China made will be better I guess. At least, that's what Tesla experienced.

  3. Hhhmmm it seems you can seek protection under the lemon law in the country then. I had my 2018 Chevy Trailblazer more than 3 years now and the only problem I encountered was a loose something inside the muffler that caused an annoying vibration. But Chevy replaced the whole assembly free under warranty.

  4. Downside of getting korea models is that this comes with heated seats for driver, passenger and 2nd row while it doesn't have any rear AC vents.

That makes sense in Korea but not in our country.
