Ford Philippines announces the availability of the Ford Explorer across its Ford dealerships nationwide. It can also be reserved via the Ford online reservation portal.
Quietly added to the line-up in March 2021 and formally launched in December of that year, the Explorer was one of the Ford models hit by the chip shortage and logistics challenges brought on by the global pandemic.
“We are excited to share that the Explorer is now available to more customers especially those who are looking for a spacious and sophisticated SUV. The Explorer is an important product in our SUV line-up, and we look forward to seeing more Filipino families experience its performance, comfort and capability,” says Mike Breen, managing director, Ford Philippines.
The Explorer carries on unchanged relatively this 2024. It still comes with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine delivering 304 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque. This is mated to a 10-speed automatic with standard intelligent 4WD and a Terrain Management System with seven selectable driving modes.
Features of the Explorer include LED headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, heated and ventilated front seats, multi-color ambient lighting, tri-zone climate control, and a twin-panel moonroof. For connectivity, it comes with an 8-inch touchscreen with Sync 3 and a 12-speaker B&O system.
Equipped with Ford Co-Pilot 360 Assist+ Technology, it has a suite of driver-assist technologies such as Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Keeping System, Auto High-Beam Headlamps, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Evasive Steering Assist, and Reverse Braking Assist.
The 2024 Ford Explorer retails at P 3,498,000 and is available in eight colors: Star White, Agate Black, Rapid Red, Stone Blue, Iconic Silver, Carbonized Gray, Forged Green, and Oxford White.
Customers who purchase the Ford Explorer starting January 1, 2024, will also automatically receive a complimentary vehicle inspection service after 2 months or 2,000 kilometers (whichever comes first) as well as two free labor on periodic maintenance schedule services.
Its 200,000 Pesos more expensive than the 2023 MY Explorer

I'd rather roll the dice for GAC GS8 - equally if not more imposing, much more expensive feeling interior but 1.5M+ cheaper.

DeleteAnd so? Daihatsu is also the king of recalls in ASEAN countries. And somehow they're being praised because apparently recalls are a good thing.
Im not sure about Daihatsu's case but hey, its your money you may avoid Daihatsu cars at all costs.
ReplyDeleteRecalls, in my opinion, if done proactively and dont deal with catastrophic failure in the drivetrain and safety, are good.
Most Ford recalls are reactive to thousands of actual user complaints.
Remember the infamous dual-clutch scam? - apparently Ford knew from the very beginning their DCT issues but decided to release it to the market anyway.

True. Today you barely see Focus, Fiestas and Ecosports on the road which should've been just around 5 to less than 10 years old now when previously you see a lot of them.
