Another Chinese car brand is entering the Philippines, and this time, it’s utilizing its boxy styling to help it stand out. Meet iCaur (styled iCAUR) which will be distributed by Omoda Jaecoo Philippines.
iCAUR is a collaboration under Chery and SmartMi Technology, a core ecosystem supply partner of Xiaomi.
The “i” in iCaur stands for “Inner Self,” “Intellect,” “Imagine”, and “Interactive” reflecting a vision of building a deeper connection with every driver. As a brand, it’s meant to satisfy the lifestyles of the young and young at heart with its blend of bold designs, smart technology, and strong driving performance.
The boxy, upright styling present in all iCaur models captures the “Classic Never Fades” spirit which is meant to shun flashy styling in favor of timeless lines and restrained proportions. This helps create vehicles with lasting presence.
For the Philippine market, iCaur will launch with two vehicles: the iCaur V23 and the V27. The former is an all-electric boxy SUV, while the latter features the “Golden REEV” powertrain.

Why China has so many sub brands? For what?
ReplyDeleteBecause it's a proven capitalist strategy. Go to the supermarket and look at any product and see how many brands are actually the same company. That's essentially what's happening here. Look at Stellantis and the VW group and how many sub brands they have, same thing.
DeleteTo O&JP, 'The “i” in iCaur for “Inner Self,” “Intellect,” “Imagine”, and “Interactive” reflecting a vision of building a deeper connection with every driver.', what then is "u" in iCaur stand for anyway. Is this pronounced i-ka-ur? Or simply i-kar?
ReplyDeleteIt's just i-kar and it's spelled iCar in China and iCaur outside apparently due to trademark reasons.
DeleteWhen is V25 available in the Philippines?
