Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD Co., Ltd., recently visited the Philippines, marking a significant milestone in the continued partnership between ACMobility and BYD Philippines as both organizations reaffirm their shared commitment to accelerating the country’s transition toward electrified mobility. The visit celebrated the progress achieved since the partnership began in 2023.
During his visit, Chairman Wang toured key facilities, including several BYD dealerships, showrooms of premium brand Denza in Alabang and Cebu, and ACMobility Charging Hubs, gaining firsthand insight into the rapid growth of the Philippine electric vehicle (EV) market and the expanding ecosystem that supports Filipino customers. He also took time to engage with frontline teams and hear customer feedback directly, underscoring the value he places on the Philippine market and the people driving its growth. The visit also highlighted the strengthened presence of BYD and Denza in the Philippines, reflecting the market’s strong momentum in electrification and its increasing contribution to the company’s international growth.
“The Philippines has become one of the most exciting and promising markets for New Energy Vehicles in the region,” said Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD Co., Ltd. “We are encouraged by the strong momentum of electrification and by the commitment of our partners at ACMobility to our customers. At BYD, everything begins with our customers—understanding their needs, investing continuously in research and development, and creating technology that genuinely improves people’s lives. Together, we are building a smarter, electrified mobility ecosystem that will benefit more Filipinos in the years ahead.”
“The cost of mobility has long been a pain point for Filipino households, and our view is that new energy vehicles address it directly,” said Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, Chief Executive Officer of ACMobility. “That conviction is what brought us to BYD in 2023, and it is why we have deployed resources across the entire ownership journey, whether that be distribution and retail, charging solutions, or after-sales support. Chairman Wang has now seen that work on the ground. We intend to keep expanding it so that electrified mobility becomes a practical option for more Filipino families in the years ahead.”
Chairman Wang also met with BYD and Denza dealer principals and business partners, recognizing their role in expanding the brand’s footprint and bringing electric mobility closer to more Filipino communities. Today, BYD’s network spans 81 dealerships while Denza has 4 dealerships nationwide, enabling more Filipinos to experience electrified mobility through a seamless ownership journey.
“The Chairman’s visit is a strong vote of confidence not only in ACMobility but also in the tremendous potential of the Philippine market,” said Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines. “It reflects the progress we have achieved together over the past three years and reinforces our commitment to making world-class electrified vehicles more accessible to Filipinos. As demand continues to grow, we remain focused on expanding our line up to deliver innovative products for every Filipino driver and providing exceptional ownership experience.”
“At BYD and Denza, we believe smarter and more sustainable mobility is something we can achieve together,” said Adam Hu, Country Head of BYD & Denza Philippines, “With the collaborative efforts of our partners, we’re growing our network for both brands, improving the customer experience, and investing in the EV ecosystem to make electrified mobility more accessible and help more Filipinos shift toward a more sustainable way of driving.
lets go china!!!
ReplyDeleteAyala supporting South China Sea at its finest
ReplyDeleteLetting BYD to expand sales for their profit
Ayala a Filipinos, supporting Philippines enterprise, selling many products including Korean and Chinese cars are purely business.
ReplyDeleteunlike some Japanese supporting neo-militarsm, where we are victims of world war two.
let not them expand sales to support neo-militarism.
Ayala should sell bananas also. A subsidiary of Byd China bananas for pinoys
ReplyDeleteJapan paid dearly for their sins and made reforms. China on the hand IN THE PRESENT is the one with alliance with North Korea and Russia. What else to say? Have you seen the Chinese Filipino portrayal? You will go bananas over it
ReplyDeletePaid dearly? They white washed their ancestors crimes. Unlike Germany which teaches their children their true past well into college, Japan would rather not bring up the past in schools. China can be very racist, yeah, but don't make the Japanese out to be saints. They're not. They are also up there in the racism department.
Ika nga: When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Imposibleng hindi alam ni Wang ang intensiyon ni Palanca, napakaklaro naman sa video na gustong makipagkamay nung tao sa kanya. Ganyan ba kababa ang tingin ni Wang Chuanfu sa bansa natin?
ReplyDeleteCan you link to this video please? Or at least say where it can be found?
DeleteI think I saw that too! Is this the Teamdy video? Just rewatched it and it seems the video is already edited? You can see near the start of the video that it suspiciously zooms in on Chairman Wang then zooms right back out after a couple of seconds. In the original I think someone at the right was extending their hand to Chairman Wang but he just waved at the guy. I didn’t know that was Bob Palanca but thinking back it might’ve been. Honestly didn’t think much of it but after seeing the edited video it probably touched a nerve
DeleteIn that video, the guy seems to be listening to his interpreter/translator/assistant(?) behind him. If you're focusing on someone talking to you through an earpiece I could maybe see him not giving enough attention to someone going for a handshake. Also, the guy on the opposite side of Bob Palanca seemed to have the job of talking/welcoming, that could be distracting too.
DeleteYou should've seen the original/unedited video. I distinctly remember Chairman Wang making eye contact with Bob who had his hand fully extended for a handshake but was waved to instead. I didn't think anything of it initially but Teamdy deleting the original video with comments pointing out the snub then reuploading the video edited is highly suspicious. You can try your luck and ask said vlogger for the unedited video but almost everyone who saw that video pointed it out. It doesnt help that the guy behind the page is for the most part a BYD vlogger who also owns a BYD Sealion 6.
DeleteHe probably got enough attention nag wave nga eh. Klaro naman na ayaw lang talaga
