Isuzu has given the world the first glimpse of the all-new, next-generation D-Max pickup truck which will be shown in full in two weeks’ time. MIAS 2017: Mazda Quietly Updates BT-50 (w/ Specs)
While majority of the attention is centered on the 2017 CX-9, CX-5, and MX-5 RF, Mazda Philippines also managed to show off the updated BT-50 at the Manila International Auto Show. Continuing to ride on the most solid of foundations (it’s won the Philippine Truck of the Year in 2012/13), it gets aesthetic updates that align it more closely with Mazda’s corporate KODO – Soul of Motion design language.

Will Mazda Produce Its Own Pickup-based SUV?
Mazda has already announced that its next-generation pickup truck will be produced with Isuzu. With a collaborative partnership that spans more than a decade (Isuzu produces trucks for Mazda’s domestic market requirements), this agreement is seen as a logical extension. Of course, given Isuzu produces a pickup-based SUV on its pickup truck, the mu-X, will Mazda get something similar?

2016 Mazda BT-50 Gets KODO-fied
Mazda has started the production of its refreshed 2016 BT-50 pickup truck at the Auto Alliance (Thailand) or AAT plant yesterday with the plan of introducing this model to markets such as Thailand and Australia in the second half of 2015 (Philippines likely to follow after, if ever at all).

Mitsubishi Mirage is Philippine Car of the Year, Mazda BT-50 is Philippine Truck of the Year
At a grand event on the first day of the 2013 Manila International Auto Show, the Car Awards Group, Inc. (CAGI) has revealed the 2012-2013 Car of the Year - Philippines: the Mitsubishi Mirage.
The culmination of a year's testing, preparations and deliberations by the Car Awards Group, Inc, the 2012-2013 COTY-P season saw a field of 81 new cars, crossovers, SUVs, trucks, sportscars and vans that competed in 19 different categories, as well as the coveted title of Car Of The Year - Philippines.

Mazda BT-50 Finally Available in PHL
Mazda recently introduced the all-new Mazda BT-50 compact pick-up truck in the Philippines, providing customers total truck utility combined with the style and comfort of a premium passenger car.
The all-new Mazda BT-50 is available in three variants: the 2.2L Mazda BT-50 4x2 with manual transmission priced at PhP 1,300,000 while the automatic transmission is at PhP 1,350,000; the 3.2L Mazda BT-50 4x4 with automatic transmission is priced at PhP 1,490,000.

UPDATED: More Leaks from the Upcoming Mazda Revolution Event
UPDATE: We just received word from Mazda Philippines that the BT-50 and CX-9 2WD won't be launching at the Mazda Revolution. Oh well. Still, you can't deny the sales reps are saying that these two cars will be launching real soon!
You just have to had it to overeager sales reps. Just a few days before the official launch of the all-new Mazda3 and CX-5 at the Mazda Revolution tent event, we've uncovered some more interesting tidbits about the upcoming event. It seems that it's not only the CX-5 and the Mazda3 seeing the light of day at the Mazda Revolution but we'll be seeing the all-new BT-50 pick-up as well as a new variant of the CX-9 full-sized crossover. We'll also be seeing a slight price adjustment (upward) of the Mazda2.
