Review: 2018 Mercedes-Benz B 180 Urban
Despite what other people say, the Mercedes-Benz B-Class is one likeable car. It’s not perfect, but after some days in it, it’s easy to prefer it over its more stylish sibling, the GLA-Class. While it fulfills a very particular niche—one whose needs center around a car with comfort, space, and one that carries a premium brand; it shouldn’t matter. In the end, it’s a sorted little number that deserves a look because it appeals to the sensibilities more than it does to the senses.

Review: 2006 Mercedes-Benz B 170
Visions of Mercedes-Benz usually involve long stately limousines, flashy roadsters, or Kimi Raikkonen’s own chrome-plated weekend drive. What to make then of this, a stubby hatchback that proudly displays a large three-pointed star on its snout? Mercedes’ ad campaign ostensibly states that this car is for everybody—moms, dads, families, lovers, young and old. That immediately raised the alarm: any such formula usually results in a muddled product suitable for nobody. Those contemplating a first purchase of a Mercedes via the B-Class can take heart: the ad planners may be sending out mixed messages, but the product itself is well suited for its particular audience.

Review: 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLA 180 Urban
Among traditionalists, the most common entry-point to Mercedes-Benz ownership is the C-Class. Yet, for the younger and more fashion-forward buyers, the three-pointed star has begun offering a more breadth line-up with everything from front-wheel drive hatchbacks to SUVs to MPVs. Naturally, these “new generation” vehicles are now the entry-point to many buyers. Included in this new generation line is the GLA-Class, the brand’s smallest and most affordable crossover. As such, adding the badge’s allure with a “bang for the buck” body style literally prints money for Mercedes-Benz.
