Mazda PH Offering 50 Percent Discount On Mazda3 BK Parts

In case you missed it, Bermaz Auto Philippines (BAP), the exclusive distributor of Mazda vehicles in the country is recalling all first-generation Mazda3 compact cars produced from 2004 to 2007 sold in the Philippines due to steering wheel brand emblems that might turn brittle and shatter during an airbag deployment.

Despite not being the distributor at the time, BAP made it its mission to ensure the safety and well-being of all Mazda owners, and that includes models more than a decade old such as the “BK” series Mazda3.

While the replacement of the affected component will take less than one hour (and Mazda will bear all the cost of labor and parts involved), BAP is taking things a step further by offering a discount on all Mazda3 BK parts currently in their inventory.

Owners who take advantage of the steering wheel emblem service campaign is also entitled to a 50 percent discount on all parts related to the Mazda3 BK. The full listing of discounted parts will be made available at all Mazda dealerships nationwide, and owners can take advantage of this while bringing in their cars to replace the affected airbag module.

“Mazda Philippines is committed to ensuring the safety of Mazda owners by providing proactive service and safety campaigns,” says Steven Tan, president and CEO of Mazda Philippines. “As soon as we received confirmation of the issue with the Mazda3 units, we set in motion a Special Service Campaign process in cooperation with our dealerships.”

“Due to the age of the BK-series Mazda3, we believe providing easier access to maintenance and replacement parts will benefit our Mazda3 owners and allow them to further enjoy reliable service from their vehicles,” adds Tan.

Mazda customers and owners of affected Mazda3 units can contact their preferred Mazda dealership for details. For the full list of dealerships, click here
