Toyota Shows Base Fortuner Some Love With New Modellista Body Kit

For Fortuner owners who don’t want to go the Gazoo Racing (GR) route, Toyota is now offering its mid-sized SUV with its very own Modellista body kit.

Founded in 1997, Modellista is Toyota’s in-house customization brand. While they’re known primarily for their aero kits, they also do wheels and exhaust too.

Admittedly, they don’t roll off the tongue as well as TRD, but that’s probably because they only dabble in higher-end Toyota models (sorry, no Wigo Modellista for you). It’s only appropriate that the third ASEAN model to get the treatment after the Camry and Hilux is the Fortuner.

Shown beside the Fortuner GR Sport, the Fortuner Modellista gets a body kit designed in Toyota Technocraft in Japan in collaboration with TCD Asia Company Limited.

The kit is designed to fit the non-Legender (aka non-LTD) versions of the Fortuner, and it encompasses  front and rear skirts, a front grille decoration kit with the words, “MODELLISTA” spelled out, and special 18-inch wheels.

All in all, the price isn’t that steep as far as body kits go—THB 57,620 or around P 88,000. And this includes installation as well as a 3-year/100,000-kilometer warranty.
