Tesla Continues Momentum In Philippines With Initial Delivery Of New Model Y EV SUVs

After cornering a 30 percent market share in BEV sales in the first quarter of 2025, Tesla Philippines continues its momentum with the delivery of the first batch of Model Y EV SUVs to customers in time for Earth Week.

Kicking off Tesla’s global Earth Week activities this April 22 to 28, Tesla turned over nearly 30 Model Ys to customers at the Tesla Experience Center in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. This comes after the brand managed to sell 211 vehicles in the first quarter of 2025.

The new Model Y showcases Tesla’s new “Cyber” design language and comes with the industry’s first reflective light bar. It also comes equipped with enhanced features and advanced technology not just to elevate the driving experience, but to maintain the brand’s commitment to safety and sustainability.

Embracing the mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy, Tesla’s Earth Week campaign rewards owners and the like-minded public.

This April 22 to 28, Tesla owners can get a chance to win the Tesla 20th Anniversary Commemorative Speedform Set by referring friends and family to experience and place order of the New Model Y or Model 3. The Tesla owner with the most referrals who have placed orders during the Earth Week will be rewarded with the prize.

Tesla owners in the Philippines can also enjoy free Supercharging at the Shangri-la Plaza Supercharging Station on Saturday, April 26 during mall hours (10 AM to 9 PM). The Shangri-La Plaza Supercharging Station is located at Zone F of the East Wing B1 Parking.

Meanwhile, non-Tesla owners will be able to take home a Tesla Tomica when they test drive and order during Earth Week.

    1. BYD keeps their sales secret unless they've reached milestones...so officially, we don't know how many BEVs they've sold so far. At least Tesla's transparent here.

    2. It looke like 30% is based on CAMPI figures for EV sales, which excludes BYD

  2. Can you at least try to extrapolate from last year's numbers? BYD was selling roughly 400 units per month in 2024. https://www.carguide.ph/2025/02/byd-cars-ph-reveals-its-2024-sales-and.html

Tesla this year, 70 per month. Yeah, I know, 2024 numbers vs 2025 numbers. But assuming 2025 numbers are not way way off last year's, there is no way Tesla's 70 units per month is 30%.

    1. The publication is about 30% BEV market share, BYD sells fully electric and non-fully electric DM-i and DMO models. You misanalyzed.

  4. Why should they keep their sales secret? That is so odd.... unless you don't want to show some stink.
