Gawang Pinoy pride is certainly in the limelight as production at Toyota’s Santa Rosa, Laguna assembly line rocketed 52.9 percent last March.
The home of the Toyota Innova, Vios, and the next-generation Tamaraw saw production rise to 5,762 units last March—a 52.9 percent increase compared to March 2024. For the first quarter of 2025, production is up 7.9 percent to 15,824 units buoyed by the strong response of the buying public to the Tamaraw light commercial vehicle.
In total, Toyota managed to produce 268,128 units last month in Asia outside of Japan, enough for a 12.4 percent growth compared to March 2024. For the first three months, the figures are up 4.7 percent to 710,776 units.
