Araneta City, Quezon City’s transport hub, is all set to receive passengers going to and coming from Metro Rail Transit (MRT) 3 and Light Rail Transit (LRT) 2 lines starting today, June 1, 2020.
The resumption of the railway systems coincides with the reopening of the three Araneta City malls: Ali Mall, Gateway Mall, and Farmers Plaza, on the first day of the general community quarantine
(GCQ) in Metro Manila.
Heightened security and sanitation are prepared at entrances of Farmers Plaza and Gateway Mall adjacent to the MRT and LRT stations, respectively. Police officers and security personnel will be stationed in each of the entrances to assure that people coming in will observe the following:
- “No facial mask, no entry” policy;
- Minimum 1-meter distance between persons, 2-steps distance between persons in escalators, and limited elevator capacity; and
- Social distancing guides through signages and floor markings.
Starting June 1, the Araneta City malls will be open from 11AM to 7PM.
