After 14 Years, Honda To Close BGC Showroom

Attention Honda owners and shoppers: Honda Cars Global City will be ceasing its operations starting on July 1, 2021.

The dealership, which opened in 2007 is closing shop after 14 years of operation. Operated by AC Motors, a subsidiary of Ayala Corporation, Honda Cars Global City is strategically located right in the heart of the Bonifacio Global City central business district.

Honda Cars Global City was also known for its unique programs such as showcasing Honda’s big bike line-up in its showroom, and offering night-time service to customers. It’s also one of the handful of Honda dealerships that can service the Legend luxury hybrid sedan.

For now, Honda customers who wish to avail of services under the Ayala corporate umbrella may do so at the following branches:
  • Honda Cars Makati
  • Honda Cars Pasig
  • Honda Cars Alabang
  • Honda Cars Shaw
  • Honda Cars Manila Bay
We have also reached out to AC Motors for comment on this development. See their official statement below:
AC Motors, the Ayala-backed company that operates and manages the Philippine sales and distribution of some of the world’s most iconic mobility brands (automotive brands Honda, Isuzu, Volkswagen, Kia, Maxus and motorcycle brands KTM and Husqvarna) has announced that it is now considering setting up a corporate showroom in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City.

This was revealed on May 21, along with the internal announcement that AC Motors would cease operations of the Honda Global City (Honda BGC) dealership effective July 1, 2021.

Antonio P. Zara III, President of the Automobile Group of AC Motors, explained, “This is part of the strategy to optimize AC Motors’ companies’ operating footprint and in order to be in step with the local automotive industry in the long term, the Honda BGC site is being explored to be repurposed to be the corporate office and a hub to showcase the different brands that we carry.”

The corporate hub in BGC is seen to further enhance the synergy of the brands in AC Motors’ Automobile Group and its Motorcycle Group (led by its President Andre Angelo S. Santos), and will showcase for sale the latest models per brand.

The Volkswagen, Kia, KTM, and Husqvarna dealerships in their current location in BGC will continue to provide sales offers and aftersales services to their clients, and by the time the hub becomes operational, an even more enticing model line-up of all AC Motors’ brands will greet customers from all over Metro Manila.

  1. So sad. This is a strategically located service center for those working in BGC. One can leave his/her car for service in the morning, go to work and retrieve the car before going home.

  2. oh no, ganda pa naman ng location niyan :( Honda just can't get a break recently, first they shuttered their assembly plant, then they lose 4 dealerships (which eventually reopened under different companies, so that's good), then another one....and an unusual one at that, I figured this branch is one of the better performing ones since it's smack dab in the middle of a CBD...

I have a wild guess, it will reopen but under a different company like the other ones

    1. It says in the article it will be renovated and reopen as a corporate showroom for all AC brands. I guess real estate is too expensive there especially for a dealership with limited repair offerings service (financial hub = no chemicals). A swanky office is the only reasonable thing to put there.
