Here's Your First Look At The Philippine-Spec 2021 Volkswagen Multivan Kombi

Two days after Volkswagen Philippines officially announced the arrival of the Multivan Kombi by the third quarter of 2021, the first unit has actually arrived in the country and here it is.

Available for private viewing (by appointment) at Volkswagen BGC, it gives everyone the first look at what the Philippine-spec Multivan Kombi looks like. Similar to the teaser photo released by Volkswagen Philippines, the 2021 Multivan Kombi offers a two-tone exterior color scheme. Aside from that it looks like it will have LED head- and taillights as well as Aracaju 17-inch alloy wheels.

It is likely that that the Philippine spec version will sport the 150-horsepower version of Volkswagen’s 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine. If that’s the case, it’s mated to a 7-speed DSG. It looks like cruise control is in the mix, too.

Dubbed the “digitalized MPV” during its launch in Germany, the Philippine-spec Multivan Kombi packs Volkswagen’s Digital Cockpit system with fully digital instruments. It also looks to have a touchscreen-based infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. From the two interior photos, it looks to have leather seating as well as an automatic climate control system, front and rear parking sensors, power sliding doors, and LED interior lighting. Seating-wise, it seems the version coming in is the 7-seater version with second-row Captain’s Seats.

Volkswagen Philippines hasn’t released any pricing info yet, but if they’re targeting other 7-seaters in the market such as the Honda Odyssey, and to some degree, the Mazda CX-8, expect the pricing to be around the P 2.7 million mark.

  1. Since this is the older model then this has to be cheaper, right?
