For P 4.090M, The RAM 1500 Rebel Is One Trail-Ready Truck (w/ Specs)

If you haven’t been digging the RAM 1500 Laramie’s chrome studded styling, well, you’re in luck. Auto Nation Group, the exclusive distributor of Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and RAM vehicles in the country has brought in the RAM 1500 Rebel—a full-sized pickup fitted with a factory off-road package.

Setting the RAM 1500 Rebel apart is its much more rugged exterior design. Departing from the brand’s “cross-hair” grille, the Rebel dons a completely new off-road front bumper design with a durable powder-coated finish. It also incorporates a power-coated skid plate, new front tow hooks, new LED front fog lamps, and black-bezel LED projector headlights beneath an aluminum twin-snorkel sport hood.

The Rebel’s blacked-out front-end continues to the flanks with its wheel arch moldings, flat-black badges, mirrors, and lower body panels. At the back, there’s a new tailgate stamped with the word, “RAM” in blacked-out lettering, flared cutouts around its dual chrome-tipped exhausts, and black bezels around the taillamps that match the forward lighting. At each corner are elaborate-looking 17-inch wheels with 33-inch (LT285/70R17E) Goodyear off-road tires. For the Philippine market, the RAM 1500 Rebel comes in five two-tone paint schemes (Diamond Black Crystal Pearl is always the lower half) and six single-tone paint schemes.

The RAM 1500 Rebel’s off-road-centric design is backed up by a suspension that’s been raised by one inch for improved off-road approach, departure, and breakover angles. Bilstein supplies front and rear shocks with unique tuning and a new steering calibration matched to the Rebel’s increased ride height. A softer rear stabilizer bar provides improved dynamics.

Like the Laramie, the Ram 1500 Rebel has a built-in “Rambox” that can serve as an icebox storage for beverages and frozen food. It can also be used to store other objects that could be difficult to untie such as cables, tripods, and fishing nets.

Underneath, the Rebel shares the Laramie’s 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine putting out 395 horsepower and 555 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a TorqueFlight 8-speed automatic driving a 4x4 powertrain with a rear locking differential.

Inside, Rebel is every bit as brawny and rugged. The all-black instrument panel, door armrests, and logo-embossed center console armrest cover are topped with two-tone red and gray accent stitching while anodized red accents also dot the door trims, center console, and steering wheel. The center stack accommodates a 12-inch infotainment system powered by Uconnect, while a bin can easily accommodate a mobile phone or tablet. For the ultimate in comfort, it gets leather seats as well as 8-way power adjustment for the front seats and even power adjustable pedals.

The 2021 RAM 1500 Rebel comes with a suggested retail price of P 4,090,000 and is now available for viewing at all authorized RAM dealerships nationwide.
