Kaicene Brings In Cargo Version Of Honor S (w/ Specs)

Kaicene, Changan’s commercial vehicle brand distributed by Auto Asia is getting into the micro truck category with the 2021 Honor S Cargo.

Based on the Honor S MPV, the Honor S Cargo drops the interior trim, chucks the rear seats, and adds a steel partition. It also drops the MPV’s aluminum wheels, fancy entertainment system, and airbags (it does get ABS though).

Mechanically, the Honor S Cargo shares the MPV’s Euro 5 compliant 1.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine. This powertrain puts out 105 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque.

Priced at P 515,000, it’s cheaper than its chief rivals, the Suzuki Carry and the Foton Gratour TM300. It carries a 1-year / 20,000-kilometer warranty, and is now available at all Auto Asia dealerships nationwide.

  1. The brand name sounds like a portmanteau of a certain teen loveteam, while the model name sounds like a smartphone model. Quite funny.
