DOTr: Unvaccinated, Children, Seniors Cannot Travel Via Land, Sea, or Air

In support of the Metro Manila Council’s decision to limit the movement of non-vaccinated individuals, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) is prohibiting the domestic travel of unvaccinated individuals whether via land, sea, or air effective today, January 4, 2022.

Aside from unvaccinated individuals, the prohibition is likewise applicable to individuals aged 17 and below, senior citizens, pregnant women, and persons with comorbidities. The DOTr is only exempting travel related to the procurement of essential goods and services. These individuals must show proof to support and justify such travel.

This prohibition will be enforced while Metro Manila is under Alert Level 3.
