BYD Cars Philippines aims to sustain its momentum in 2025 with the introduction of two new all-electric models: the BYD Seal Advanced and the new Atto 3. These two new BYD vehicles will be the centerpiece at the first BYD Tech Tour this year happening at Ayala Malls Solenad this Friday, January 17 to Sunday, January 20.
A new variant in the Seal sports sedan range, the Seal Advanced drops its front electric motor in favor of a purely rear-wheel (and rear-mounted motor) setup. Nonetheless, it still manages to produce 203 horsepower and 310 Nm. This is enough for a 0 to 100 km/h time of 7.5 seconds. The 530 horsepower, all-wheel drive equipped Seal 3.8S is still on offer, but has been renamed the Seal Performance. Pricing is still set at P 2,548,000.
Compared to the Seal Performance, the Seal Advanced has a smaller 61.4-kWh battery pack. Yet, it still manages to go up to 510 kilometers (NEDC) between charges. DC fast charging (30 to 80 percent) is the same as the Seal Performance at 30 minutes, while 0 to 100 percent using the wall box charger is shorter at 12 hours.
In terms of features, the Seal Advanced doesn’t give up much. It rides on smaller wheels (18 versus 19 inchers), has less speakers (10 versus 12), and makes do without ventilated front seats, but aside from that it still has a 10.25-inch LCD display, a 15.6-inch rotating infotainment touchscreen, 10 speakers, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual zone climate control, 8-way and 6-way power adjustment for the driver and front passenger seats, respectively. All this for P 1,998,000.
Safety-wise, the Seal Advanced comes with a full suite of ADAS on top of blind spot detection, 8 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, and a 360-degree camera with front and rear sensors.

Meanwhile, BYD Cars Philippines also updated one of its earliest offerings—the Atto 3 for 2025.
The BYD Atto 3 comes still in two variants with the same prices as before (P 1,598,000 for the Dynamic and P 1,798,000 for the Premium), but now comes with a longer list of standard features. These features include a power tailgate, ambient interior lighting, a larger infotainment screen (15.6 versus 12.8), and an NFC card for keyless entry.
Communicating these changes, the 2025 Atto 3 sports the revised BYD logo at the tailgate, gloss black D-pillar trim and window trim, and meatier 235/50 R 18 Continental tires for the top-of-the-line Premium (the Dynamic still keeps its 17-inch wheels and tires).
Powering the Atto 3 is a 204 horsepower, 310 Nm of torque electric motor that drives the front wheels. The Premium variant sports a 60.5-kWh battery (480 kilometers range), while the Dynamic has a 49.9-kWh one (410 kilometers range). Both have the same 0 to 100 km/h time (7.3 seconds) and top speed (160 km/h).
For 2025, the Atto 3 also comes in a new color: Cosmos Black. It joins the other colorways which are Boulder Gray, Ski White, and Surf Blue. Dark exterior colors (Cosmos Black and Boulder Gray) nets a sportier blue and black interior color, while lighter colors (Ski White and Surf Blue) comes with a more elegant blue and gray interior scheme.

DeleteTesla pricing is not far away from byd not saying which one is better at least consumers have a choice

DeleteThere's nothing prestigious owning a Tesla EV full of cheap plastics and its very common now
DeleteSocial climber na kaya yata 🤣
Tesla the EV leader on quality, miles prestigous than mass market byd. byd sold many many low cost, low quality cheap model. Your just jealous bcoz you cant afford it, any way for now you can buy a low cost low quality byd EV and keep on dreaming owning a tesla... who knows maybe someday. Keep on dreaming boy...😴😴😴
DeleteIs it getting same price slash as in AU?
ReplyDeleteDo any one here have an idea if cover ba ng AON insurance ang EV battery pag nasira ng baha?
ReplyDeleteShould be, engines are covered after all. What difference does it make if it’s an engine or a battery.
DeleteEV batteries are fully sealed
DeleteWater will destroy EV battrty if car submerged above the floor. Do any one has an idea if Acts Of Nature(AON) insurance will cover it?
DeleteICE easy to overhaul/repair once flooded and the engine sets high on the hood. EV battery usually are at the floor of EV car, i think once destroyed by flood will be replace entirely and EV battery cost estimated at half the price of EV car. No idea if insurance will cover it
DeleteWhy the heck not? When an ICE vehicle is flooded, insurers usually declare it as a total loss. What good reason do insurers have to not do the same for an insured EV’s traction battery? If you’re so paranoid about it, go ask an insurance representative.
DeleteBYD pls release the Sealion 6 AWD here in PH just like in other markets
ReplyDeleteSame sentiments!!!
DeleteJust wondering do u really need an awd here in Phillipines? And may i ask for what purposes? So i can relate to your sentiment
DeleteA lot of tesla cars burned in the affluent neighborhood of the palisades because of the forest fires. Byd burns on its own the streets of wuhan.
ReplyDeleteProof or any url for your accusation? Do u even own an EV car? Or just a hater and spectator?
DeleteTesla already proven, byd remain to be seen. Cannot get a true feedback about byd reliability from china market due to ccp censor everything thats bad news.
