Vehicle Importers See Sales Rise 55 Percent In First Half 2021


The Association of Vehicle Importers and Distributors or AVID tallied 30,153 units sold for the first half of 2021, or a 55 percent increase from 19,509 units sold in the same period last year. Light Commercial Vehicles or LCVs rallied 64 percent, rising to 21,684 units sold compared to 2020’s 13,244. Meanwhile, Passenger Cars (PCs) also managed a 26 percent increase—7,707 units this year to last year’s 6,128 units.
