Toyota PH Adds More Equipment To Fortuner For 2022 (w/ Specs)

In what seems to be a response to a slew of new competitors coming out this month be it the new Nissan Terra or the all-new Isuzu mu-X, Toyota has quietly updated the Fortuner as well. And with it, comes a slight price increase on selected variants.

Frankly, most of the changes go unnoticed because they’re found in detail spec changes. Still, it does keep the best-selling 7-seater SUV fresh for 2021 and beyond.

Toyota is still keeping the total Fortuner variant count to six, although it’s rumored to be joined by the GR Sport version later in the month. As for pricing, it’s as follows:
  • 2.4 4x2 G MT – P 1,633,000 (same price)
  • 2.4 4x2 G AT – P 1,723,000 (same price)
  • 2.4 4x2 V AT – P 1,827,000 (same price)
  • 2.4 4x2 Q AT – P 2,018,000 (+ P 20,000)
  • 2.8 4x2 LTD AT – P 2,280,000 (+ P 36,000)
  • 2.8 4x4 LTD AT – P 2,440,000 (+ P 36,000)
Thankfully, the price increase does come with a slew of new feature. These are:
  • Dual Zone Front Climate Control – Q, LTD grades
  • Upgraded Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) with Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert – LTD grades
  • Hood Lift Assist - LTD grades
  • Power Tailgate w/ Kick Sensor – LTD grades
  • Wireless Charger - V, Q grades
  • Rear USB Type-C Chargers – V, Q, LTD grades
With the mid-sized SUV segment heating up, do you think these changes are enough for Toyota to maintain their lead in the segment, or do you think they should have done more?

  1. Do you have the official spec sheet for the 2022 fortuner? Toyota PH website only updated their price but their offical brochure is from last year's release

    1. We're still asking for it. Will update the story once we get it.

    2. Okay thank you sir

  2. I hope TMP adds the Front Foglights and change the head unit to 8-Inches on Fortuner G Variants.

  3. I wish for Toyota Motor Philippines.

Needs inprovement for Fortuner 4x2 G

Foglamps, Mudguards, Roofrail, Cool Box, Cruise Control, Automatic Climate Control (Single zone front), 8' display audio, Rear USB Charger, Leather Steering Wheel and Shift Knob, Paddle Shift for Automatic.

Additional variant: Fortuner 4x2 E (Entry level) Manual Climate Control and the rest features are same from the 4x2 G variant. Prices less P120,000

For all variants: 7 SRS Airbag, Front and Rear USB Chargers Type A and Type C, Blind Spot Monitor, 220v with 5000watts Power Outlet 2nd row and 3rd Row.

  4. They shod also upgrade d corolla cross G to b competitive on h segment. D base corolla cross G in malaysia has 8 inch touchscren, 360 cam n power tailgate

  5. Toyota only "upgrades" its vehicles when it sees that the competition is giving more value for money. The funniest part is that Toyota is already more expensive to begin with, and gives practically zero tech amenities. And when it does upgrade it, also increases its price. Talk about adding insult to injured pockets.

  6. Are there any notable updates or new features for the 2022 Toyota Fortuner G AT variant?

    1. For now, G and V grades remain the same. It could be because they're running their current stocks out first?

  7. Hi. Fortuner V should not be included on the variants which has upgraded to dual-zone CC. Fyi. Only applies to LTD and Q as per official TMP memo

    1. Makes sense because there's no price increase LOL. Thanks for the info though. We did ask TMP for their official memo, they haven't gotten back to us.
