First Batch Of All-New 2022 Kia Carnival MPVs Have Arrived In The Philippines


Right after Kia Philippines announced the arrival of the Sorento SUV, their premium MPV, the all-new 2022 Kia Carnival has just arrived in the country. The launch is slated for the first quarter of 2022.

Kia has yet to release all details surrounding their fourth-generation MPV, but they did confirm that all-new Kia Carnival will offer a power tailgate and sliding doors. In addition, it will have a second-row captain seats with an ottoman leg rest as well as automated sliding sunroof. It will also offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well.


Based on the photos provided by Kia Philippines, the local spec Carnival looks to offer LED head- and taillights and 19-inch alloy wheels. It will also come in at least three colors: Snow White Pearl, Astra Blue, and Aurora Black Pearl.

The all-new Carnival reflects Kia’s new philosophy of thoughtful design and innovation that aim to inspire consumers to drive full-speed towards their desired future. In fact, the next generation Carnival is already beloved worldwide and has scooped up numerous awards including top honors at the 2021 Good Design Awards.


Kia Philippines will provide more official details soon, but reports are out indicating that it will be offered with the same engine as the 2022 Sorento (2.2-liter Smartstream Diesel) with 202 horsepower and 441 Nm of torque. Pricing is pegged at P 2,540,000 according to sources.

  1. The Gasoline version of the Kia Carnival is still highly unlikely due to high prices of Unleaded and Premium types of Gasoline here in our country.

  2. Kia Sales in the Philippines market is diminishing because of expensive price. Though the Quality of all it's products are topnotch. This is the reasons why consumers are turning to Chinese Carmakers for affordability, design Wise and hi tech features that Japanese and Korean make don't have.

  4. With the right wheel and tire size to increase even just slightly the ride height this can look like a full size crossover
