The Toyota GR Yaris Morizo RR Trades WRC Gravel For Nürburgring Tarmac

Toyota has revealed a special ultra-limited version of its GR Yaris: the GR Yaris Morizo RR. Applying insights gained, not through the World Rally Championship, but through its participation at the 2025 Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance, it’ll be available in just 100 units in Japan, and 100 units in select global markets (Europe being the only one confirmed thus far).

The GR Yaris Morizo RR has a revised steering and suspension setup, especially tuned to optimize tire contact even on highly uneven road surfaces. An exclusive 4WD control mode was developed together with Morizo (yes, Akio Toyoda himself) with replaces the “Gravel” mode. The “Morizo” mode sets front/rear initial torque and driving force distribution at 50:50.

As an exclusive GR Yaris Morizo RR performance aerodynamic part, the carbon fiber rear wing provides downforce. Other exterior enhancements are found in the form of a front spoiler, side skirts, and a carbon-fiber hood.

The only color is the Morizo-favored Gravel Khaki. Piano black finish on the radiator grille makes it look sharp, while the wheels are finished in Matte Bronze. The brake calipers and interior stitching, meanwhile, sport the signature Morizo Yellow.

Another exclusive feature is the suede-surfaced steering wheel, which has been given a slightly smaller-than-normal outer diameter and modified paddle shifters and steering-wheel-mounted switches for improved operability in motorsports. The switches are laid out independently, based on lessons learned using similar switches in the GR Yaris Rally2 rally car. An exclusive serial number plate with a “Morizo RR” logo completes the changes.

The GR Yaris Morizo RR will be available solely with the 8-speed automatic (the transmission used for the Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance), with deliveries starting from spring 2026 (starting March) with lottery applications now being accepted through the GR app in Japan.
