BYD has officially opened its first dealership in Bulacan. Located at 19 Doña Remedios Trinidad Hwy, Baliuag, Philippines and operated by Astral Motors, Inc., BYD Baliwag marks an important step in Central Luzon’s shift to sustainable transportation.
The grand opening was attended by Mr. Anton Macasieb, President of BYD Baliwag; Mr. Erroll Duenas, Country Head of BYD Philippines; and Ms. Lovelyn Labrador, Deputy General Manager of BYD Philippines.
“This is the first home of BYD not only in Baliwag but also in Bulacan,” Macasieb stated. “We realized that this is part of the future. We envision quieter streets, cleaner air, safer cars, zero emissions, and, most importantly, happy drivers and happy communities.”
Macasieb thanked the team led by General Manager Warren Lacson and contractor JF Balahadia for completing the facility in just six months. He noted that the dealership aims to serve as a hub where Bulakenyos can enjoy a progressive and prosperous automotive experience.
BYD Baliwag features an 8-car showroom and 10 work bays, with both AC and DC chargers, and a 2,600-square meter facility.
The event featured Vice Mayor Ferdie Estrella, who represented Mayor Sonia “Mommy” Estrella. In a show of support for sustainable technology, Vice Mayor Estrella announced the local government’s plan to transition its service fleet to electric vehicles.
“I spoke with Mayor Mommy Sonia, and I suggested, ‘Mayor Mommy, let’s replace the service vehicles of City Hall with full electric,’“ Vice Mayor Estrella said during his speech. “And of course, we will acquire them here at BYD Baliwag.”
The Vice Mayor praised BYD as a top brand and highlighted that the city’s shift to EVs is timely, considering the high fuel consumption of traditional government fleets. “This is the right moment for us to switch to full electric vehicles for our City Hall employees,” he added.
BYD Baliwag is now open to serve customers, offering sales, service, and spare parts to the growing market of EV users in Central Luzon.
