Pet-Friendly 2026 Jaecoo J5 Is Omoda & Jaecoo PH's First HEV Offering


It’s confirmed: the Jaecoo J5 HEV is officially making its way to the Philippines. Omoda & Jaecoo Motor Philippines Inc. (OJPH)’s first-ever hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) joins the pure combustion, plug-in hybrid, and pure electric offerings from the brand.

The introduction of the J5 HEV shows that OJPH is now offering a solution for every Filipino driver, catering to those at every stage of the transition toward sustainable mobility. It’s an offering for motorists who want the efficiency of an electric drive without the need for external charging.

According to OJPH, the Jaecoo J5 HEV boasts of 221 horsepower and 295 Nm of torque. Yet, its fuel efficiency of 18.86 km/L and large capacity tank means it can go more than 1,000 kilometers without refueling.

OJPH is also leveraging on the Jaecoo J5 HEV’s “Baby Land Rover” aesthetic (yes, their official press release mentions this) as well as its TÜV SÜD-certified pet-friendly interior made of antibacterial and scratch-resistant materials that are easy to clean and maintain.


The versatile cabin is further optimized by a curated selection of car-compatible pet accessories, which OJPH will offer, including specialized boarding steps for smaller companions, a dedicated pet-feeding system, and secure trunk barriers to ensure your pets travel in as much comfort and safety.

Regionally, the Jaecoo J5 has become an instant hint in ASEAN. In Indonesia, it has secured over 10,000 orders in its first month, while in Thailand, it has ranked first in sales and registrations in its segment.

  1. Jaecoo J5 is very popular because of its affordable price.
    Let's hope Jaecoo J5 is only priced at 1.3 Million Pesos in order to make it more sellable.
    Pricing it at 1.4 Million Pesos seems to be okay.
