GWM’s pickup division delivered another strong result in 2025, securing its 28th consecutive year as China’s leading pickup manufacturer while continuing to accelerate growth across international markets.
The brand sold 181,660 pickup trucks globally in 2025, underpinned by robust performance in both domestic and overseas markets. In China, the world’s largest automotive market, GWM now accounts for nearly 50 percent of the pickup segment, meaning one in every two pickups sold carries a GWM badge. Internationally, overseas sales reached 63,784 units — a 17 percent year-on-year increase — positioning GWM as the leading Chinese pickup brand by export volume.
In the Philippines, GWM Philippines launched the new Cannon last year fitted with a new 2.4-liter turbo diesel, a new 9-speed automatic, and a newly tuned suspension. It helped the brand secure strong sales performances throughout 2025.
GWM currently operates in more than 60 countries, with strong momentum in key markets such as Australia, South Africa, and Chile.
Beyond market growth, GWM continues to play an active role in industry development through its involvement with the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers' Pickup Truck Branch, advocating for regulatory reform, market expansion, and innovation within the category. The company supports its global operations with dedicated research and development centers, manufacturing facilities, and distribution networks, delivering Chinese automotive engineering to markets worldwide.
