Geely Auto celebrates the achievement of global cumulative sales of the Geely Emgrand which have exceeded 4 million units. The feat, which was achieved last month, highlights the sedan’s enduring popularity, quality, and strong market trust across diverse regions.
Since its debut, the Geely Emgrand has captivated drivers with its design, technology, and performance. Tailored to meet the evolving needs of global consumers, the Emgrand combines affordability with cutting-edge features, making it a popular choice in the competitive sedan market.

Launched in 2009, the Emgrand is the fastest car model from China to reach the one million sales mark in 2016. It continued to set records surpassing two million sales in 2018 and three million in 2020, solidifying its position as a front runner in the sedan segment as the first model to sell overseas, it has demonstrated robust sales in over 25 countries and regions, with particularly strong performance in the Middle East and Latin America. From Jan 2025 to April 2025, sales data show that it was ranked the top three Chinese sedan in 11 countries, including Mexico, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, and others.
In May this year, the four millionth Emgrand rolled off the production line at the Zhejiang Huzhou Changxing plant.
The current Emgrand is built on the advanced BMA platform. It boasts the widest body in its class at 1,822 mm, maximizing interior space for passengers and cargo. Its high torsional rigidity along with a complete set of airbags, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control offer protection for all occupants.
For the Philippine market, Geely Motor Philippines launched the updated Emgrand this year. It features a new 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 122 horsepower mated to a CVT. It also boasts of a larger center touchscreen (now at 12.8-inch) with built-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

ReplyDeleteThe are too many suv in market, so saturated na, Geely Ph should make this emgrand as its main flagship car, there still have room in sedan market, make this emgrand more affordable than Japanese counterpart, more promo, more better after sale service.
