Excelsior Continues Re-Fleeting with Isuzu Trucks

During a formal ceremony, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), the country’s leading assembler and distributor of trucks, turned over to Excelsior Custom Brokerage a brand-new Isuzu EXR QL Tractor Head at the latter’s main office at Imus City, Cavite.

This has been Excelsior’s second acquisition of Isuzu trucks. The first was in 2018 when Excelsior bought an Isuzu EXR52 F Tractor Head. Both purchases were facilitated by the Isuzu Alabang dealership.
Witnessing the turnover ceremony were Isuzu Alabang Sales Executive Rogielyn Oyco and Sales Manager Lucy Vergara, IPC Dealer Sales A Section Head Danny Nunez, Excelsior President Victor Hermosa, and Excelsior VP for Finance Marry Ann Hermosa.

Excelsior Custom Brokerage, which has been in the international freight forwarding, custom brokerage, and trucking business for over 15 years, had been traditionally using Isuzu branded surplus units until it decided to re-fleet with brand new trucks starting in 2018.

“In order to achieve our mission and vision to provide clients with peace of mind in their shipments, and thus become an enduring great company in the industry providing exceptional, time-conscious, and individualized customer service, we must be creating a seamless continuity of freight transportation from warehouse to its designated endpoint. This can be best achieved when we use the most reliable and most enduring trucks. That’s why we decided to gradually replace our Isuzu surplus trucks with brand-new ones.” Mr. Hermosa stressed.

“Excelsior will certainly add more brand-new Isuzu trucks in the coming years,” Mr. Hermosa added.

He added that using brand new Isuzu trucks has enabled Excelsior to meet all its delivery requirements, with shipments arriving in the best condition possible in every destination, as the new trucks themselves require minimal downtime for their upkeep.

True to its guarantee of being a “Responsible Partner”, IPC also conducted a basic operation training seminar for drivers and operators of the E-Series QL with the ZF Transmission last May at the Manila Jockey Club in Carmona, Cavite. Here, Excelsior’s two designated drivers were trained to properly operate and drive the Isuzu EXR QL and were also briefed on the best practices and practical applications for E-Series Tractor Head.
