The P 1.64M 2020 Renegade is Your Entry Point into Jeep Ownership (w/ 13 Photos, Specs)

Auto Nation Group, the exclusive distributor of Jeep in the Philippines has launched the 2020 Jeep Compass and Renegade sourced from FCA’s joint-venture plant in China with GAC. These two SUVs take advantage of the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement and is reflected in their more affordable SRPs.

Positioned as their entry-level model, the 2020 Renegade fits the bill for those aspiring to own their first Jeep. The youthfully styled Renegade is juxtaposed with classic design cues making it a standout among the compact crossover class. The bold palette of colors, standard 17-inch alloy wheels, daytime running lights, and sunroof all make it great for “urban trailing.”

Powering the Renegade is Jeep’s 1.4-liter Tjet turbocharged engine. It makes 147 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque driving the front wheels. A dry-type 7-speed dual clutch automatic and idle start/stop system also helps boost fuel economy.

Inside, the Renegade features a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a tilt/telescopic steering column, manually adjustable front seats (6-way for the driver, 4-way for the front passenger), and 60/40 split-folding rear seats.

The major highlight though is the 7-inch Uconnect 4 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Baidu CarLife. Tunes are pumped out through a 6-speaker system. Other standard features include ParkView rear back-up camera, ParkSense reverse parking sensors.

The 2020 Jeep Renegade comes in two variants, the 1.4 Longitude that’s priced at P 1.64-million, and the 1.4 Limited priced at P 1.79-million. Marking the launch of the Renegade, it comes with a P 50,000 launch discount until June 30, 2020. The Jeep Renegade is now available for booking at Jeep EDSA-Greenhills, Jeep Alabang, Jeep Clark-Pampanga, and Jeep Cebu.
