Tesla has sprung a surprise with its most affordable EV offering yet: the new 2026 Model 3 Standard Rear-Wheel Drive. Costing just P 1,838,000, it’s one of the first non-Chinese BEVs to reach price parity with a combustion engine or hybrid offering.
The Model 3 Standard Rear-Wheel Drive comes as Tesla Philippines refreshes the Model 3 range for 2026. It offers a slightly reduced equipment list with a manual adjust steering wheel, vegan leather/textile seats, and textile interior décor. It also deletes the extended ambient lighting, 8-inch second-row screen, ventilated front seats, and auto-dimming sideview mirrors. It also sports less speakers (seven). It’s also distinguishable by its non-upgradable 18-inch Prismata wheels.
In terms of color, the Model 3 Standard Rear-Wheel Drive only comes in three shades: Pearl White and for an added premium of P 66,000 Diamond Black, and Stealth Gray for an additional P 99,000. Inside, the only interior color is black.
However, despite its low entry point, the Tesla Model 3 Standard Rear-Wheel Drive can access the Tesla charging network which has the lowest charging rates—be it AC or DC charging in the Philippines.
The introduction of the new Standard Rear-Wheel Drive variant means that all other Model 3s have moved up as Premium variants now sporting frequency dependent shock absorbers as standard. The Premium range starts with the Premium Rear-Wheel Drive variant at P 2,109,000 with the Premium Long-Range Rear-Wheel Drive at P 2,343,000; and the Premium All-Wheel Drive at P 2,489,000 completing the range. The Performance All-Wheel Drive is priced at P 3,099,000.
Regardless of trim, the Model 3 packs a panoramic glass roof, footwell and door pocket ambient lighting, power front seats, LED headlights with adaptive high beams, eight exterior cameras, first and second row climate control, and basic AutoPilot with Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Blind-Spot Collision Warning and Lane Departure Avoidance (all variants can be upgraded up to Full Self-Driving). The 15.4-inch screen can also play apps such as Netflix and YouTube.
The revised Tesla Model 3 range is now available for orders on Tesla Philippines’ website.

Thanks to China made teslas, it will taking up a large slice of the ev market and making life difficult for China branded evs. The price is too attractive not to consider

ReplyDeleteAre you stupid everybody knows that tesla is an American brand. Some of their cars are made in China and everybody knows that too. Byd cars made in Brazil doesn't make byd a Brazilian brand. A tesla is designed in the US made in China. So Chinese follows the American design
DeleteFrom a lot of Chinese parts like the battery. It is more like the Iphone 17, American designed but made in China (20% from India).
DeleteRight, It's still an American company that is manufacturing the car in China. I think most of the world manufactures things in China
