Mitsubishi Increases Prices of Xpander, Strada Effective January 2019

Mitsubishi Motor Philippines (MMPC) opened 2019 by hiking up the price of its best-selling Xpander MPV. The suggested retail price, which MMPC already increased once last November, sees yet another modest increase across the entire variant range effective this January, 2019.

Still keeping its 4-variant line-up, the 2019 Xpander’s prices is as follows (amounts in parenthesis reflects the amount increased effective January 2019):
  • Xpander GLX M/T – P 999,000 (+ P 44,000)
  • Xpander GLX Plus A/T – P 1,075,000 (+ P 45,000)
  • Xpander GLS A/T – P 1,110,000 (+ P 45,000)
  • Xpander GLS Sport A/T – P 1,175,000 (+ P 45,000)
It’s also worth noting that for January 2019, MMPC has also removed one variant of the Mirage G4 (the GLS M/T) and increased the pricing of the Strada (it’s currently unknown if this price increase is reflective of the facelifted model as well). The rest of the model line-up remains unchanged for 2019 (amounts in parenthesis reflects the amount increased effective January 2019).
  • Strada 2.5 GL 4x2 – Discontinued
  • Strada 2.5 GLX 4x2 – P 1,165,000 (+ P 117,000)
  • Strada 2.5 GL 4x4 – Discontinued
  • Strada 2.4 MIVEC GLS 4x2 M/T – 1,225,000 (+ P 65,000)
  • Strada 2.4 MIVEC GLS 4x2 A/T – 1,300,000 (+ P 72,000)
  • Strada 2.4 MIVEC GT 4x4 M/T – P 1,445,000 (NEW)
  • Strada 2.4 MIVEC GT 4x4 A/T – P 1,670,000 (+ P 158,000)

  1. with Toyota and Mitsubishi increasing their prices this 2019, others would probably follow later. we'll see if car companies/dealers would increase the sales of vehicles this year compared to 2018 which was a not so stellar for their sales. oil prices are increasing again and the second tranche of excise tax would be imposed on jan 15
