Subaru Owners in the Philippines Now Enjoy a Longer Warranty


In a strong, customer-centric move, Motor Image Pilipinas, the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in the country has announced that its bumper-to-bumper warranty has now been extended on all vehicles, including the high-performance WRX STI.

Starting July 1, 2019, all vehicles except the WRX STI sold by any of their authorized dealers nationwide will carry a 5-year / 100,000-kilometer bumper-to-bumper warranty. Meanwhile, the WRX STI will now have a 3-year / 60,000-kilometer bumper-to-bumper warranty, while the engine, drivetrain, and transmission are covered up to the 5th year or 100,000 kilometers.

Previously, Subaru vehicles, except for the WRX STI had a 3-year / 100,000-kilometer warranty, while for the WRX STI it received only a 1-year / 20,000-kilometer warranty.

All vehicles sold to customers starting July 1, 2019 are automatically entitled to the extended warranty, while customers who fulfill the criteria: registered on June 1, 2019 and whose sale is reflected in the daily sales reported submitted by its dealerships to the distributor may be entitled to the extended warranty if they follow the prescribed PMS schedule, especially the first check-up.
